The EU legal guarantee notice and GARAN label for Shopify

Since 27 September 2026, online shops that sell to EU shoppers must show the EU notice on the legal guarantee, in colour. This app shows the official notice from the European Commission in the language your store is shown in (24 EU languages included). It also puts the official GARAN label on products with a producer guarantee over 2 years.

What it does

Legal guarantee noticeA Legal guarantee button on every page. One click opens the official notice, in all 24 EU languages.
GARAN labelThe official label with years, brand and model, on products with a producer guarantee over 2 years.
Who sees itShown to shoppers in the EU and EEA, or to everyone if you choose. A preview link shows it to you from anywhere.
Order email codeA code to paste into your order confirmation email template. It adds the notice to that email.

How it works

1Turn it on

Click Open theme editor in the app. The notice is already switched on there. Click Save.

2Add GARAN details

Pick the products with a longer guarantee. Type the years once for all rows. Model numbers start as the product SKU.

3Shoppers see it

EU shoppers see the button on every page and the GARAN label on product pages. A click opens the full label.

Questions merchants ask

Do you change the official texts or designs?

No. The notice and the GARAN label come from the European Commission's own files. Only the years, brand and model on the label are filled in from your products.

Which languages are included?

All 24 official EU languages. The app picks the one that matches your store's language.

Does it edit my theme code?

No. It uses a Shopify app embed and an app block. You turn them on and off in the theme editor.

Does it store customer data?

No. The app stores no customer data.

Is this legal advice?

No. The app shows the official EU notice and label. If you are not sure what your store needs, ask a lawyer.

When can I install it?
